Ord 25Jun65 to 27Aug65 Co. A 2nd Bn 1st Bde 3rd Platoon. Then to Ft. Devens 06Sep65 to 18Feb66 05H20 at Co. G and to Tuslog Det 27, Site 23 Co. A Manzarali Station (Gerkheryewk, Turkey) otherwise known as Ankara, APO 09663. Then to Nam, 08-10Oct67 at the 509th RRG canvas Hilton at Davis then to the 303rd RR BN at Long Binh (mortared all night) and to my duty station (rest of my tour +) at the 175th RRC (Rocket City-Thunder Flats) form 13Oct67 to 27Jan69 and back to the World for a early out. I'm still a Ditty Bopper at heart- as a Ham, my call is KB7JUB (just ugly beep) Operate 99% CW with a straight key! Ford, " F" Troop to Arlington Hall to 175th RR Company, Bien Hoa and Con Son. Flunked out of ditty booper school (can you believe I couldn't pass 4.5?). Sent to Arlington Hall Station and OJT'd supply and other stuff with Unit 10. Went to RVN, June '70, Cambodia, worked out of Bien Hoa, Plantation, 509th in Saigon, Davis Station and Con Son. After RVN, I was sent to 1st Infantry Division (remember that "...for the good of the Army..." clause in our 4 year enlistment contract. They sent me to Germany for Reforger. Got out, went to college. Went nuts. Joined the reserves. Went SF, airborne school etc. Eventually ended up in a MI detachment and finally took a late commission after law school and now I'm deployed to Germany for Operation Joint Endeavour.
